Air Abrasion
The
AirAbrasion technique is a non-invasive, comfortable, virtually
silent form of dentistry. For certain cavities, particularly the
ones discovered early, our air abrasion system allows us to
remove the decay without the need for drilling. AirAbrasion
literally “wipes” decay away with a gentle stream of
concentrated air and a mild abrasive. For small- to medium-sized
cavities, this technique is very effective. Often air abrasion
removes so little of the tooth that the filling is extremely
small. The cavity is filled with a tooth-colored composite
filling that bonds to the tooth, offering strength, longevity
and virtual invisibility. Air Abrasion can also be used for
repairing work, shipped or fractured teeth, removing stains from
teeth, preparing old fillings for new composite materials,
repairing broken crowns and bridges, and preparing teeth for
veneers or other cosmetic work. Air abrasion can also be used to
remove superficial stains and tooth discolorations.
Benefits of Air Abrasion Dentistry
Speed – most procedures are completed in less than fifteen
minutes!
Comfort – no drill means no vibration, odor, noise or shots.
Precision – does not remove any unnecessary tooth enamel.
Appearance – smaller cavities and tooth-colored, nonmetallic
fillings that strengthen your teeth
Prevention – we detect decay early and utilize minimal treatment
with perfect results!

Mini
Dental Implants

What Are Mini Dental
Implants?
The MDI System consists of a miniature titanium implant that
acts like the root of your tooth and a retaining fixture that is
incorporated into the base of your denture,
The head of the implant is shaped like a ball and the retaining
fixture acts like a socket that contains a rubber O-ring. The
O-ring snaps over the ball when the denture is seated and holds
the denture at a predetermined level of force.
When seated, the denture gently rests on the gum tissue. The
implant fixtures allow for micro-mobility while withstanding
natural lifting forces.
Sleep Apnea & Snoring
Treating Sleep Apnea - A
Unique Approach
The
Thornton Adjustable Positioner® (TAP) is based on the same principle as
cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR. The airway must be opened to allow
air to pass through the throat. A constricted or collapsed airway causes
snoring or sleep apnea.
The TAP holds the lower jaw in a forward position so that it does not
fall open during the night and cause the airway to collapse. The TAP
maintains a clear airway to reduce snoring and improve breathing.

Comfortable and
patient-friendly
-
Custom-made to prevent any
change in teeth position or mouth structures
-
Patient-adjustable allowing
maximum comfort and effectiveness
Snoring Defined
When the jaw opens and the tongue falls into the back of the throat, the
airway narrows forcing air through the small opening. This creates
vibrations in the throat known as snoring. Although snoring seems
physically harmless, it can be a “red flag” for a much more serious and
sometimes fatal condition called obstructive sleep apnea.
Sleep Apnea
Obstructive sleep apnea occurs when the airway completely collapses
blocking airflow into the lungs. The harder one tries to breathe, the
tighter the airway seals. This airway obstruction persists until the
brain partially awakens the person. Unconsciously, he/she will close the
jaw returning the tongue and throat to a normal position.
The sleep apnea cycle – falling asleep, jaw relaxing, airway collapsing,
unconsciously awakening with a gasp, falling back asleep – can repeat
itself 50 or more times per hour during the night. With a blocked air
passage, one does not receive enough oxygen. Both the awakenings and
oxygen deprivation can then trigger other health problems.
SLEEP APNEA CAN CAUSE:
-
Chronic Sleepiness
-
Strokes
-
Heart Attack
-
Heartburn
-
Morning Headaches
-
Depression
-
High Blood Pressure
-
Impotence
Silent Nite™ -
A Good Night's Sleep Without Snoring From
Your Dentist
It
is estimated that more than 80 million people in North America snore
while sleeping. Considering snorer's spouses and children, as many as
160 million people are negatively affected by snoring. Your dentist can
now prescribe an affordable, custom made snoring prevention device. This
oral device is flexible, thin and quite comfortable. it has also
exhibited excellent clinical success for preventing annoying and
unhealthful snoring.
Compared to the moderate success rates of surgical procedures. Silent
Nite snore prevention devices can be the first course of treatment for
simple snoring. A questionnaire your dentist provides will uncover the
snoring pattern and determine the specific design of the Silent Nite.
Your dentist only needs to take impressions of the upper and lower arch
to make a Silent Nite. Let your dentist help you get a Silent Nite's
sleep.
NTI-TSS
system for headache prevention
When you wake
up, do you feel fabulous? This may seem like a frivolous question to migraine
or TMD sufferers (or to their health care providers), rather than focus on the
worst attacks, when the intensity of their pain alters their daily lives. But
diagnostically, what is just as (or more) important, is when the sufferer is
experiencing no discomfort at all.
